OPTIMISM – LESSON TWO
“Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress.” ~ Nicholas Murray Butler
Optimism – Lesson Two…

If you want to achieve success in your martial arts training, it will be a lot easier if you have a good attitude and are positive about practicing. Learning anything and staying good at it takes a lot of practice and repetition. In order to accomplish this, you also need to have patience and be okay with making mistakes. We learn by mistakes. If we make a mistake, it gives us an opportunity to make a change and do better. Being positive about our training and moving to the next level will keep us motivated to be the best that we can be. Being positive means you are optimistic.
Ask yourself or your child:
- What does it take for you to feel good about your martial arts class?
- Are you okay when you don’t get a new move right away?
- Do you feel positive about school and martial arts? Why?
